Rabbit Anti-Jaw1/FITC Conjugated antibody
background:
The protein encode dby this gene is expressed in a developmentally regulated manner in lymphoid cell lines and tissues. The protein is localized to the cytoplasmic face of the endoplasmic reticulum. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
Function:
Plays a role in the delivery of peptides to major histocompatibility complex (MHC) class I molecules; this occurs in a transporter associated with antigen processing (TAP)-independent manner. May play a role in taste signal transduction via ITPR3. May play a role during fertilization in pronucleus congression and fusion.
Subunit:
Interacts (via coiled-coil domain) with ITPR3.
Subcellular Location:
Cytoplasm and Endoplasmic reticulum membrane.
Tissue Specificity:
Expressed at high levels in pre B-cells, mature B-cells and pre T-cells. Expressed at low levels in mature T-cells and plasma B-cells.
Post-translational modifications:
The removal of the SLCterminal lumenal domain occurs by proteolytic processing.
