Datasheet:

Zinc-finger proteins contain DNA-binding domains and have a wide variety of functions, most of which encompass some form of transcriptional activation or repression. DZIP1L (DAZ interacting protein 1-like), also known as DZIP2, is a 767 amino acid protein that contains one C2H2-type zinc finger and may play a role in transcriptional regulation. Multiple isoforms of DZIP1L exist due to alternative splicing events. The gene encoding DZIP1L maps to human chromosome 3, which houses over 1,100 genes, including a chemokine receptor (CKR) gene cluster and a variety of human cancer-related gene loci. Key tumor suppressing genes on chromosome 3 include those that encode the apoptosis mediator RASSF1, the cell migration regulator HYAL1 and the angiogenesis suppressor SEMA3B. Marfan Syndrome, porphyria, von Hippel-Lindau syndrome, osteogenesis imperfecta and Charcot-Marie-Tooth Disease are a few of the numerous genetic diseases associated with chromosome 3.

Similarity:
Belongs to the DZIP C2H2-type zinc-finger protein family.
Contains 1 C2H2-type zinc finger.
